Cross-border partnership for the development of sustainable viticultural practices adapted to climate change.
The VitiClimRoBg Hard project is a cross border initiative dedicated to strengthening the resilience of the viticulture sector in the context of climate change. The partnership brings together research institutions, professional organizations, and economic actors from Romania and Bulgaria, combining complementary expertise in viticulture, agricultural technologies, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.
Through integrated approaches and scientifically validated solutions, the project aims to modernize vineyard management practices, optimize agricultural decision making processes, and establish a collaborative framework that supports the large scale adoption of climate adaptation measures. All activities are designed to generate applicable, transferable, and sustainable results with direct impact on vineyards across the cross border region.
The project’s activities are structured into two complementary work packages that combine applied research with the development of a functional collaboration network.
WP1 – VitiResearch: Pilot Action for Climate Resilient Viticulture
WP1 represents the technical and experimental component of the project, focused on data generation, solution testing, and evidence based vineyard management. Within this work package:
WP1 provides the scientific foundation needed to develop vineyard practices adapted to current and future climatic conditions.
WP2 – VitiNet: Cross Border Collaborative Network for Climate Adapted Viticulture
WP2 transforms the technical results into learning processes, cooperation mechanisms, and practical adoption at regional level. This work package focuses on:
WP2 ensures the collaborative environment necessary for the solutions validated in WP1 to be adopted, replicated, and integrated into practice across the cross border region.
By combining applied research with cross border cooperation, the project contributes to:
